TMJ Treatment

If you experience pain and discomfort in your temporomandibular joint (the bone connecting your jaw to your skull), you may have temporomandibular disorder. This pain can be caused from many things, such as stress, arthritis, grinding teeth, and even whiplash. At your dental exam, the dentist will inspect for signs of TMD and may request additional x-rays or scans to get a clearer diagnosis.

After it is determined that you are suffering from TMD symptoms, our dentist will go over the best treatment plan for you. Depending on the severity and the symptoms you are having, your treatment plan can range anywhere from pain medication and anti-inflammatories to surgery.

If you think you may have TMD, please give us a call to schedule your appointment.
