Crowns

A dental crown is a covering that fits over your existing tooth. The purpose is to make it look and feel like your existing tooth, while protecting the tooth underneath. A crown is used to maintain the appearance of the existing tooth, hold together a tooth that is particularly weak and at risk of breaking/fracturing, covering a tooth that is severely discolored, restoring a broken or cracked tooth, and many others.

There are multiple materials that can be used for the crown; porcelain and ceramic, which are used to look like the surrounding teeth, and resin and stainless steel. Your dentist will go over the pros and cons to make sure the right material is picked and perfect for you.

If you feel that you need a crown, please give us a call to schedule your appointment.
